Our Story

Welcome to Belton Middle School! We are a united community of educators, parents and students who will work together to make the 2025-2026 school year the best ever! BMS currently serves over 700 students in grades 6-8.

Our campus has a rich history and has served the Big Red Community since 1993. The campus originally served 5th and 6th grade students under the name Belton Intermediate School from 1993-2005. From 2005-2014, the campus transitioned to Belton Middle School. As our district continued to grow, there was a need for more space at Belton High School. The campus was opened as the Belton High School 9th grade campus in 2014 and continued to serve as The Nine until the spring of 2020.

We are honored to once again serve the community as a middle school campus, where we believe all students can learn at high levels in a safe, supportive, and student-centered environment. We invite you to join us as we connect to inspire, encourage, and empower our students to become successful 21st century learners.
